Trevor Black BVMS MRCVS
Originally from Belfast, I qualified from the University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 1998. I began my career in Cockermouth, Cumbria, working for two years in a busy mixed practice. Following this I travelled the country doing locum work for a further two years, gaining experience in a wide variety of types of practice. I then held the position of senior assistant at Links Veterinary Practice in Haddington. I was always keen to own my own practice one day, and when the opportunity arose to purchase Two Rivers Vets in 2005, I jumped at the chance. I have really enjoyed the challenge of modernising and developing the business in Biggar and Peebles, and along with the rest of the staff aim to provide the best possible service to all clients and their animals.

David Campbell BVM&S MRCVS
I grew up helping out on my family’s farm on the north coast of N Ireland and first came over to Scotland to study at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh. After qualifying in 1998 I went back home to work in a mixed practice in rural Co Tyrone but returned to Scotland when I married in 2000 and started work in Biggar at the start of 2001 when the practice was owned by Les Clerihew. I enjoy the challenges of mixed practice and relish the opportunity to develop my skills with as wide a range of species as possible. I live in Biggar with my wife Nicola, my dog Scrappy and five hens, surrounded by old bits of Landrover.

Anna Goodall BVM&S MRCVS
I’m the latest addition to the vet team here at Two Rivers. I joined the practice in January 2010 having qualified from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2009, and currently live with my boyfriend Neil and our two dogs in West Linton.
I have a particular interest in equine medicine, but am really enjoying being able to develop my skills and gain experience across all species - the great thing about working in a mixed practice.
My interests include horse riding, skiing, climbing and walking the dogs. I’m also a keen Pianist and French Horn player, and have performed with various orchestras across the UK

Nicola Cochrane RVN
I joined Two Rivers Veterinary Practice in December 2006 and am currently working in both the Biggar and Peebles branches. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in March 2007 after completing a course at Edinburgh's Telford College, which involved spending time at Glasgow University's Small Animal Hospital and working in a practice. My role at Two Rivers is varied and involves assisting the vets, monitoring patients before, during and after surgical or non-surgical procedures, advising clients on the care of their pets and reception duties. Over the years I have enjoyed working, owning or caring for a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, small furries and birds, reptiles, horses, sheep and cattle. |

Julie Devine RVN
I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in SE England in 1998 and since thenhave enjoyed working with a wide variety of animals and people. I've previously worked at three busy practices and a large Veterinary Hospital where I developed a keen interest in surgical and intensive care nursing. I joined Two Rivers in 2005 and am currently working part-time at the Biggar Practice. My working day here might include assisting the Vets in the operating theatre, taking care of in-patients, running laboratory tests or advising clients on pet health care. No day is ever the same and I think that’s what makes this job so special. |
